May i have a question Mr. Javed Hashmi ?
May i have a question Mr. Javed Hashmi ?
by Hadeed Ahmed Sher
At last the Baghi (Javed Hashmi) resigned from the National Assembly (NA). Baghi who has spent almost his entire life in active politics has gone from the house of representatives. Before he resigned from the NA, the party adamant unopposed elected chairman Imran Khan openly told the media that we have parted our ways. The journey of Baghi can be best understood by reading his books that he wrote while he was in Jail. He wrote in detail about the atrocities Musharraf did to him in particular in to the PMLN workers in general. The story encompasses the brutal tortures on Bilal Yasin (now Minister of food, Punjab), Mushahidullah Khan (now senator), Saad Rafiq (now federal minister of Railways) and many other workers. Stories about the third degree torture on Rana Sanaullah (ex Law Minister) and Pervaiz Rasheed (Federal Minister of Information) have been reported by independent journalists. Besides, the dictatorial acts on PMLN workers, Javed Hahsmi does not forget to assert his support for Nawaz Sharif as his leader.
![Embedded image permalink](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BnBJje5CYAAgUD4.jpg)
During the long march aka azadi march originally a fsadi March, Javed Hashmi shown his concern on various issues and finally decided to leave the event and ripped apart the whole plot of PTI to derail the democratic process. After the presser, he came to the parliament and spoke his heart will full commitment, and volume. He said and i am quoting
میں یہاں پر اپنی ذاتی رنجشیں کہنے نہیں آیا .مگر وزیر اعظم یہ بتائیں کہ کیوں چودہ مہینے تک وہ سینیٹ میں نہیں اے
He further stated that the parliament has failed to address the problems of people of Pakistan. Spending more than 25 years in Multan, i have personal experience how the representatives of south Punjab including Javed Hashmi deal with their own people. So like JH said, i also want to say that i am not writing this blog post for my personal vendetta or a personified grudge but i want to ask Javed Hashmi sb. why despite you being federal Minister of Health and Ishaq Khan Khakwani (now in PTI) being provincial minister of health during 1997-1999 failed to build any new hospital in any area of south Punjab. People want to know that how many schools, universities, hospitals, safe drinking water schemes, mega projects, employment opportunities have been given to the people of Pakistan under your 40 years of politics. I am not blaming only you Mr. Javed Hashmi but all those Gillanies, Qureshis, Tareens, Khakwani, Bosan and Daha's are the accomplice and reasons of why assemblies fail to address the problems of people of Pakistan. Politics against dictators is a service to nation, but this nation want to know why our representatives does not take care of their own people even when they have the portfolios of the concerned ministries. That's my question and i hope that someday you will unveil the answer of this question.

An Open Letter to President of Pakistan
An Open Letter to President of Pakistan
To,
The President,
Islamic Republic of Pakistan,
Dear Sir,
I hope that you are doing fine with your foreign tours amidst the national crisis. I am a citizen of Pakistan and supported your nomination by the ruling PMLN for the office of Presidency. I think that by nominating you for the top most designation of Pakistan, we can somehow equalize the foreign success stories of those who are elected from the lower ranks of our nation. The intentions of this open letter is to put my sentiments on record.
Mr. President , you know better than me that the office of the presidency is not a party office. The office of the President is a symbol of unity of federation. A federation that comprises four provinces, FATA, ICT and autonomous areas. You are the custodian of federation and it is your responsibility to play your role in ending this current crisis.
Mr. President, i being a citizen of Pakistan have a right to ask you why ? Why on earth Mr. President, your role was so passive in this whole drama. You as a symbol of united federation should have called Imran Khan, Tahir ul Qadri and the PM Mian Nawaz Sharif along with the opposition leader. You could have asked them to come to presidency or you could have gone to them in order to avoid the damage to federation. But your constant silence shocked thousands of democrats like me. People like me who vowed to have supremacy of Parliament and rule of Law.
Mr. President, the day you were elected as the President of Pakistan, you were no more a PMLN worker. You took an oath for the protection of federation, but sadly, history, which can't be undone, has marked your disinterested behavior in this whole episode. You never summoned the meeting of important stake holders because you still consider yourself a PMLN worker, who is still under the wight of gratification of the PM, who is also the president of ruling PMLN.
Mr. president the federation of Pakistan is your responsibility, we the citizens of Pakistan are your citizens. You owe us an answer on this don't disturb mode. You did not played your role and i being a citizen of Pakistan want to know, under the rights of information act, what halted you to raise your voice and act accordingly in this whole time of crisis.
I hope that your stay in this presidency will be pleasant, while the country's capital is still resonating with anti state activists.
Regards
Hadeed Ahmed Sher

Long March to Islamabad | Whats wrong with Imran Khan ??
Long March to Islamabad | Whats wrong with Imran Khan ??
Written by Hadeed Sher
This highlights at least one thing that its the DEFEAT that is biting the nerves of Imran Khan, after all its really gloomy for a father who promised his 2 sons that upon their next visit to Pakistan they will stay in PM house. Its also heartening to loose 4 more years waiting and hoping for being the PM of Pakistan, that too at the age of nearly 70. Seventy, off course is a very ugly figure to be called as a young leadership. His rise from ashes was planned and executed by the establishment which is very much visible from his latest meeting with Ex spy chief Mr. Pasha. The message is clear, as masses around the Pakistan wants this government to work and the only thing that might emerge from the successful protest on 14th August will be that Mr. Sharif will become the only man in our history to be elected four time PM.

DHOOP KINARAY uttar gae aur baqi sab DHUWAN ban keer urr gaya.
DHOOP KINARAY uttar gae aur baqi sab DHUWAN ban keer urr gaya.
written by Afzaal Farooqui
I
have been In the field of Media since a decade around. I have worked in
advertising - Public Relation and now News Media. I have studied
Communication Sciences and Social Sciences too. I have studied patterns
of Human Nature and self implemented many of those which I studied. The
below article is totally my personal judgement and opinion. I am
certainly not an expert of this topic but feel so uneasy with the
current days drama that couldn't stop myself writing this.
Pakistan is a Democratic country. We
have an elected government. The concerned government authorities should
realize this as there utmost responsibility and work on a censorship
policy. The said government should save our generations by banning in
decent media content. Whether it is ,press media or television
media, either movies or theaters, the framing of the culprits in the law
should be strictly practiced. Pakistan is formed on the principles of
Islam. Our media is running after the rating race and not fulfilling its
real role. Being in the democratic society, one should understand the
importance of real democracy and limits of organisations.
But on contrary to it, time has
changed. The Drama has changed it self. The Bold issues are now openly
discussed. The real cause of having mind fresh is now Romance on
Television . The illegal relationships are known as Friend ship. Holding
hands, giving in decent looks, shame full dances, under rated dialogues
are the main charm of Pakistani Drama. Our 80 percent Drama industry is
based on private productions. They are making money but
crushing, destroying and dismantling our generations. In the era of
Seventies, Indian Prime minister Indra Gandhi said that We will destroy
Pakistan in the battle of Media War Fare. Her sayings are true to some
extent. The Indian Media has manipulated our Culture and it has been
mixed in our society. The VCR era that led towards Dish Antenna has now
moved to Cable Time. Too many Private channels are only focusing on the
corrupt side of society.
The Govt and the private channel authority should be blamed
on this. They are actually running after ratings. They are spoiling our
generations. RAPE was not a common word in journalism even. The meaning
of entertainment has been changed. Showing and watching these type of
dramas in the name of entertainment is a direct source of disturbing
mind set. Private channels along with dramas are also showing in decent
crime scene shows. We are raised in the time of PTV where the only source
of luxury on T V is a prime time DRAMA or late night movie. Those
movies were also well censored. The real cause of private channels are
brutally crushed. The person or the founder of this concept, Pervez
Musharaf has been criticized. But he ordered for these channels because
he wanted to give Pakistan a soft image. The band wagon of Turkish drama
led a last nail in the coffin. Now in Pakistan, The upper middle class
are even interested in these sort of in appropriate drama. The PEMRA
should be responsible for this. There is no much solution to it , only
ban on such sort of drama or restrict channels to show decent content
only. I remember, in 1993, PTV banned a drama just because Girls were
wearing JEANS. In twenty one years, every thing is changed.
I had
been discussing and criticizing the dramas of today and was attacked by
the argument that people want to watch this type of content, that is
why these drams are made.If we say
that only these kind of content gets the highest rating then just
rethink that drama DHUWAN, DHOOP KINARAY and many others caught the
highest number of eye balls even when there was no concept of private tv
channels , no cable etc. Such type of content will always be liked if
the content creators try to give such positive messages to the society.
What I feel is the negative content is being forced on our
minds and to change our perception. Could you imagine a family sitting
5-10 years ago and discussing about these stupid Topics. Even
separation was considered to be most discouraged thing. But now its so
sad that it is getting so common in the society and we are hearing more
and more of this in our real lives.
Along with it, The media policies , the regulatory
authorities, the channel policies, all should be aligned according to
the nation's tradition and thinking. I mean, there shouldn't be anti
states matters to be discussed openly. The court proceedings, the
criminal incidents, the chaos shown after the bombings, all should go as
the media rights violation. This is not the way to treat the news. They
might feed the massive tummies of our channels , but in return adds
displeasure to our society.
so coming back to the topic,I
will conclude with the statement that although dramas are only the
mirror of what happens in the society but in my view society is actually
following those dramas.
Would request you all broadcasters to make the dramas as
well as news which leaves a positive impression in the mind of viewers,
it will be liked and you will still get good ratings.

Creating the Mirage | PTIs Education emergency in KPK
Creating the Mirage | PTIs Education emergency in KPK

Although its a known fact that for any goal to achieve, proper planning is required. targets are set, that are then achieved with adequate project engagement. Surprisingly, the talkative Khan failed to set them before imposing the education emergency in KPK. It was not in my wildest guess that the "brilliant" minds of PTI , like Asad Umar, Jahangir Tareen and Imran Khan will offer the people of KPK such earthy policy framework. They forget to tell us the intended goals of this emergency. The result is obvious, after a year long education emergency PTI failed to announce the targets achieved, rather they are more into spreading another gimmickry of new plans of building schools. Mr. Imran Khan the year is over and the next year will bring yet another scheme because you are so vague in your thoughts that you start ranting about the alleged rigging even if you are invited in a primary school on a special occasion. It will be our pleasure if you can elucidate us about the following points so that other provinces can espouse it too in their provinces.
- There were 37988 schools (Government, Private and religious) in 2012. How many new schools have been built in KPK ?
- During the government of ANP the literacy rate was increased from 50-53 % (Male 69 to 72% and females 31-35%). What was the target for literacy in the education emergency and how much is achieved ?
- What is the progressive literacy rate during 2013-14. Please remember it was 5% during the ANP government.
- Out of 4219 government schools running in rented houses and tents how many schools have been shifted to proper government owned buildings ?
- What happened to 2677 madrassa schools ? How successful is the education emergency in converting them to regular schools ?
- More than 10 000 schools in KPK don't have electricity, over 4 000 don't have toilets, nearly 7500 lacks water supply and 5482 schools are without boundary walls. Mr, Imran Khan its easier said than done. Please tell us what has been achieved in this regard with education emergency imposed in KPK.
- What is the effect of Education Emergency on the enrollment of children?
- How far KPK government has succeed in ensuring the presence of teachers in schools ?
- How many new colleges are constituted?
- What about the science labs in higher secondary schools.
- What special has been brought in updating the IT labs of colleges , other than the copy cut paste idea of Laptop distribution ?
- How much decrease in the last year drop out rate of 25 %.
- How much improvement in teacher to student ratio after education emergency.(1:33 during ANP govt.)

KPK govt banned this book | Education Emergency |
I know that most of the readers will ignore this as an attempt to degrade the enthusiasm of country's revolutionary kittens, but the fact can't be ignored. I was told that Imran Khan has power to do something but he seems very impotent in delivering to educational sector of KPK. The provincial Minister of Education Muhammad Atif (A tax evader) thinks that people cannot understand the do's and don'ts of planning. PTI lead government has no system of monitoring the targets. Imran Khan make equivocal claims on every other show, what in other words is haphazard play i.e. talkative on media and scrap on grounds. Offering lollipops of self recognition through foreign funded institutes like NAMAL. NAML is outclass because IK built it , but the fate of 3.7 million school going childern is still fragile , isn't IK the one heading day to day meetings as if he is a pseudo CM of KPK. Will the fate of over 2500 schools with only one teacher will remain the same unless named after Shokat Khanum or Imran Khan ? Should we consider it a foundering experience ?

Fifty First dates with RIGGING !!
Fifty First dates with RIGGING !!
by Hadeed Ahmed Sher
Just 24 hours before, i published a blog post about the recent crisis of media vs establishment and the role of Imran Khan. I don't know why it happens, but it is a solid truth that Mr. Imran Khan is a discombobulated and a totally senseless person. He made PTI in the mid 90s and despite being popular among the kids his personality failed to attract the matured voters of Pakistan. That resulted in his historic shameful defeat across the country. There may be several reasons for it, but, Imran Khan as Rana Sanaullah said is a chronic patient of "Rigging Fever". Imran Khan knew from the very beginning that the only way to land in the premier office is either by maligning the main stream party leadership or through the shoulders of establishment. Adults might know about this, but today's revolutionary kittens are not aware of the fact that Mr. Imran Khan supported the National Debt Retirement Scheme (qarz utaro mulk sanwaro) in 1997 and he used to give ideas to PM Nawaz Sharif. However, he was not dumb enough to act like an ally. His presence in the media during the 90s was mostly because of the buzzing news of Seta White scandal and his appearance in the courts to settle that issue. In democratic countries, even the sitting president has to ask for apologies, but Imran Khan despite his tall claims of being close to MAJ personality, bothered not to say anything about it.

After the coup of 1999, Imran Khan was among the first few so called demagogues who welcomed the military takeover and immediately accepted the offer of meeting by the unconstitutional ruler of Pakistan Gen Pervaiz Musharraf. It was a close call between the TUQ's Awami Tehreek and IK's PTI during a fraud referendum to enrapture the newly born dictator. Both the parties despite being headed by famous celebrities were rejected in earlier elections by the people of Pakistan. It was a golden opportunity for both the parachuters to grab the seat of PMship. Later, as mentioned in "In the Line of Fire" Musharraf managed to establish Q league and IK was told that his party don't deserve to have more than a dozen seats. Kaptaan however, insisted that his party is very strong on the ground and can easily grab over 100 seats provided that establishment keeps a hand on them. Later, after the elections IK was shown his real value and Jamali from Q league was bestowed premiership. TUQ was so disappointed to see the end result that he resigned from the NA a year later, Imran Khan, however, was satisfied with the perks and privileges offered to an MNA. Imran Khan's PTI proved not even worth a horse cart party in NA during 02 but yes, it was a cycle cart party and therefore he voted in favor of legalizing the 1999 military coup. It is worth mentioning here that Musharraf decided to enter in the war against terrorism in 2001 but the IK kept his silence maintained until the day he was shown a red card for the post of PMship. Imran Khan then slowly and steadily started opening up against Musharraf, but in such a way that the masterminds remained happy. He was seen talking fearlessly and hitting below the belt on the TV interviews specially on GEO news (the same which he boycotted yesterday).
In a talk show he called Sheikh Rasheed a person less than a PEON and Farooq Sattar the batman of Altaf Hussain. His vulgar and indecent language, however, was approved within the angry youth and with the advent of social media sites like Facebook and Twitter his party started disseminating the humiliating material about his opponents. It is not a bad choice to mention here that Imran Khan despite being too vocal about the restoration of judiciary decided to stay inside a hideout during the historic long march. In 2007 he boycotted the elections and started an all out vulgar campaign against his opponents "The Sharif Brothers". He openly cursed them and named them "The Dengue Brothers". During a drama against the drone strikes in Islamabad, he told Shazaib Khanzada that Mian Nawaz Sharif is a dwarf. His sentiments about Asif Zardari while his supporters were abusing him, he told them not to humiliate a dog by naming Asif Zardari a DOG. Fazal ur Rahamn on the other hand was just titled "The Biggest Hypocrite". His intentions, however, about Altaf Hussain was actually surreal. He despite calling Altaf Hussain a terrorist and his try to file an FIR against him in London, bowed him and declared his party a role model for all other parties. This was what happened before his jalsa in Karachi. Despite witnessing ebullient crowd at Mazar e Quiad, an hour long harangue brought no word against Altaf Hussain from the "brave" Khan's mouth. In an interview he told Tallat Hussain that we will bring revolution just like MQM has brought in Karachi. When questioned that you called Altaf Hussain a serial killer, he shamelessly smiled and said some questions are best unanswered and we call this term WELL LEFT in cricket. However, the scenic political love saga of 50 first dates did not end up here. Just like the lead role female model lucy of Hollywood movie Fifty first dates, Imran Khan suffered with short term memory loss and declared Altaf Hussain the murderer of Zahra Shahid (PTI leader). It was surprising to see that the day an important leader of PTI was assassinated in front of her house in Karachi , cupcakes were distributed in the Lahore sit in.

Before we move on to the anomalous and jocose politics of PTI let us rewind a little bit and see what happened with the stolen slogan of Obama "CHANGE".Imran khan's team, of course by his approval chanted a slogan change that undoubtedly attracted the youth of Pakistan. Although the change literally meant a lot to the people and they were told that the change will be on the system primarily. In reality, it comes out to be a change where photos of Imran Khan with a torn up coat and sleeping on the floor (like people don't know about his luxurious 300 kanal house in banigala) and sometimes even while praying. The slogan of the change revealed its true colors when turncoats from all over Pakistan were welcomed and commissioned on high party ranks in PTI. Perhaps that was the time when PTI started enervating. While justifying this Imran Khan said that they are all experienced and therefore it's all on merit. While doing all this, Shah Mehmood Qureshi was granted vice chairmanship of PTI and Javed Hashmi as the President. New faces included people like Sardar Asif Ahamd Ali, Jahangir Tareen, Khursheed Mehmood Qasoori, Azam Swati and many more. IK instead of feeling any guilt called this ONE MORE WICKET DOWN. Imran Khan then decided to conduct the party elections that were the only one of their kind where people were elected based on single votes. The money was used to win seats and most of the applications against rigging are still pending. By the time elections came the party elections output made a perception that PTI is a pro poor party and the tailor master from KPK and the painter who had won the party elections will be given tickets, but against all odds Imran Khan granted party tickets to most egregious personalities that were known turncoats and most importantly the tax defaulters. IK told people that a tailor or a painter cannot afford to run elections, which raised questions about the intentions and purpose of the NAYA Pakistan Fund. Even before the elections the ECP revealed the tax details of those who contested for elections and it was shocking. The CHANGE was merely a shame. Contrary to the hubbubs of Imran Khan the below given glimpse of the stinky change he offered to the people of Pakistan is enough to be ashamed of .

After the GE'13 it was a chance for them to prove their loyalty and dedication. But instead of doing welfare projects Imran Khan embarrassed his voters by saying that we are trapped in KPK. Time and again he and his party acted like a malingerer. He repeatedly sang the rigging mantra to the people of Pakistan. According to him, Punjab was totally rigged in GE'13 and only KPK was fair. He forgets, however in KPK PTI fails to get the confidence of people of Charsadda, Mansehra, Buttgram, Kohistan DI Khan, Bannu, Laki Marwat, Bunair, Shangla, Chitral, Dir and Malakand. The drama of gaining the sympathies of those who were victimized by US drone attacks was also badly flopped as well from FATA after PTI fails to get any seat from Kurram, Momand, Bajor, North Waziristan and Orakzai Agency. Imran Khan's party has dozens of cases where his party members were disqualified for fake degrees and he never felt ashamed to keep them still in his party. Imran Khan, who heavily criticized the Laptop scheme initiated that scheme in KPK and used public funds for self recognition in the advertisements of KPK government. His almost one year long performance in KPK yielded not even a single mega project being initiated and failure to protect the polio vaccinators. After helping Taliban in evacuating over 300 terrorists from DI Khan jailbreak Imran Khan offered Taliban an office in Peshawar. Instead of performing, the stories of corruption and mismanagement are common among the people of KPK. The slogan of no protocol went to garbage as he is openly using police force for protocol. The CM house that was announced to become a library is still protected, as CM is residing inside. The use of choppers for fleeing to areas as accessible as Hassan Abdal has also questioned his claims about austerity. Addressing official meetings by Imran Khan have proved himself to be a mudslinger who used to malign Mian Nawaz Sharif on the same subject. At the end of this fiscal year Imran Khan announced that he will build 350 small dams in KPK (don't know if he meant water tanks or dams). Education emergency that was surprisingly announced by the Finance minister is about to end for this year. Nothing happened and instead of informing the media about the goals achieved, IK opened up a new campaign to build schools. He derided Shahbaz Sharif and called him a dengue brother and failed to tackle the issue of dengue in SWAT. A long list can be summarized here to show that what was called TSUNAMI was actually a THUSSNAMI and the idiotic stance on so called rigging would not help him embroiling the people of KPK. Execrating the national institutes like ECP and those who acted as returning officers only shows the lack of maturity on PTIs end. After a hiatus of almost a year the exclamation of pro establishment parties like PTI, JI, Awami Tehreek, PMLQ and banned outfits on different agendas is strange. For PTI the signal is very clear, keep singing rigging and the people will do the same what they did in 1997, 2002, 2007 and 2013 and that too with myriad of votes. After all, they know that this is an attempt of digression from their performance as a government.

All same then why targeting GEO ?
All same then why targeting GEO ?
by Hadeed Sher
India's inner peace was at the mercy of ISI
The point i want to make is that all media channels exhibit skulduggery according to their periphery , therefore they all are one and the same thing. They jeopardize the national security whenever security forces operate, Bolan Medical Complex operation for an instance. They are fatuous enough to pass dangerous columns and programs without any censorship on their shows and in their newspapers just for the sake of profit. Therefore, singling out GEO as an Indian agent and its scoffing by the rival media groups wont help unless we deal with the ground realities. Suspects of a victim has a right to point finger on anyone they like. The due process of investigation happens only to verify the victims claim. GEO did stupid programs, but wasn't it GEO that fought at the forefront in the Judicial movement ?

Chronicles of October 1999 Military Coup - Part I
Part I | Sorting the Bastard out

After the June 24, 2013 speech of PM Mian Nawaz Sharif in National Assembly, very few were expecting that practical steps will be taken for the trail of former military dictator Gen Musharraf. Government against all the odds, opted for the proper procedure of trying Musharraf under article 6 of the constitution of Pakistan. After doing their home work the interior ministry wrote a formal letter to the Ministry of Law and Justice to formulate a special court for conducting the treason case. The Ministry of Law and Justice after going through the due procedures constituted a three member bench under the captaincy of Justice Faisal Arab. The establishment of a special court stunned those who were calling the June 24 speech a political gimmickry. A lot has been said since the establishment of the court, mostly from those who never peeped inside the historical perspectives. Author of this blog spent a lot of time investigating the circumstances of the military coup of '99 and would like to register the facts in this digital world. This first part of this blog will point out the pre-October 12 '99 situation and what exactly was the ground situation of politics then.
Prior to October 12, the most flabbergasting issue floating on the political surface of Pakistan was the Kargil fiasco. A lot has been written on the Kargil fiasco and despite the fact that during the Kargil misadventure it was Mian Nawaz Sharif who was held responsible for the "defeat" of Pak army. Later on, after few years, when the dust settled it was revealed that Gen Musharraf and his triumvirate was responsible for the deaths of thousand of Pakistani soldiers across the LoC. The inane operation in the mountains of Kargil however, created a lot of misunderstanding between the bloody civilian government and the pious military clan.
In late September '99 Mian Nawaz Sharif went to Quetta on a visit where senior officials welcomed him. Among those officials was the corps commander of the XII corps of Pakistan Army, Lt. Gen. Tariq Parvaiz. Gen Tariq Parvaiz was the cousin of the PM's cabinet member and it was made famous that he requested to meet the PM while his stay in Quetta. According to the interview of PM Nawaz Sharif, conducted a few years later, Mian Nawaz Sharif categorically denied that he never met Gen Tariq Parvaiz that day but the CoAS Gen Musharraf forced resigned the Lt. Gen Tariq Parvaiz on account of meeting the PM without his approval. While doing so Gen Musharraf forget how he met the PM on a single call from the PM house in Oct 1998, that too without getting approval from the army chief. It was evident that a tension is going on between the premier office and the GHQ. Parvaiz Musharraf also transferred the Corps Commander Mangla Lt. Gen Saleem Haider on the charges of leaking the information of corps commander meeting to the PM. News reports tells us that Mian Nawaz Sharif felt embarrassed on the press release about the cause of retirement of Lt. Gen Tariq Parvaiz. According to an interview, later published in a book "The Traitor Within", Mian Nawaz Sharif said that it was an insult of the democratically elected PM of Pakistan, after all Tariq Parvaiz in Quetta, if it is considered true, met the Pakistani PM not the Indian". Later the PM was told that an official negation will be published in the national newspapers about this issue. But it never happened since, Gen Musharraf left for Siri Lanka the next day. The CoGS Lt.Gen. Saaed ul Zafar tricked the Sec. Defense Lt. Gen (R) Iftikhar by saying that he is not in contact with the CoAS. It should be kept in mind that according to the PM Nawaz Sharif, Gen Musharraf use to abuse him in private meeting and two months prior to Oct'99 , in a meeting he said about PM that I will Sort this bastard out.
Waiting for 2 more days, Mian Nawaz Sharif finally dismissed the CoAS following the constitutional formalities, although he could had waited for his return to Pakistan. What happened on October 12, 1999 will be discussed in the next part.
