PPP | On Road to Self-Destruction ??

PPP | On Road to Self-Destruction ??

Written by Dr. Faisal Ranjha

Many in this country of pure consider "Asif Ali Zardari", one of the most shrewd politicians this country ever witnessed in it's 65 year history, despite taking this country's economy to its historic low, setting new records of corruption and nepotism but his admirer are of the view that he helped or rather i should say tried for Federation Of Pakistan, successfully removing Mushraf from Presidency and placing himself in Presidency considered on of his greatest victory and master strokes, completing his five year tenure again considered his accomplishment as are much trumped PPP amendments in constitutions. But now the question arises, are these so called PPP achievements and attainments were possible without the help of a steady and mature opposition done by PMLN Nawaz Sharif??. Infect at the end of the day these mistakes cost PPP the GE 2013 and limited them to Interior Sindh hence a regional party from a Federating one.

Zardari Sahib seems on a suicidal mission, here I completely agree with many that even Dictators not able to conquer the courage of Jiyalas neither they were able to dent PPP fort but Zardari Sahib with his miraculous politics better known to him has literally forced PPP back to the wall. PPP latest decision to Boycott the Presidential Election's may seem the last nail in PPP coffin, as it has ousted PPP from Democratic process, at the same time given room to Imran Khan to establish himself a very seasoned and mature politician, a missing link in Kaptaan's politics or maybe he too was waiting the right moment. Secondly PPP was trying to make a comeback in politics with a bang with the mere perception that MQM will side them and maybe Imran Khan will follow them in boycotting the Presidential Elections. PPP is forgetting the very fact they had nothing to offer to MQM as PPP is not in Power in Federal Government, secondly Zardari Sahb about to lose his Presidency as final numbers tell us after the Presidential Elections even if MQM boycotted the elections "Mamnoon Hussain" would have won easily and convincingly. PPP may have thought that MQM and PMLN differences are like the Himalayas, not bridgeable but forgetting that during their own reign when MQM would leave the Government every second day and rejoin them even more quickly. Altaf Bahi right now needs Federal Government more than the provincial one as pending inquiry in Scotland Yard regarding Imran Farooq Murder and Money Laundering probe resulting from that murder inquiry, British Media too exerting tremendous pressure on the British Government to move on with the case, take it to its logical end.

PPP latest decision to Boycott the Presidential Election's may seem the last nail in PPP coffin

Media reports suggest that high level delegations visited PTI Imran Khan to convince him to boycott Presidential Elections but Imran Khan despite showing his reservations, participating in the Democratic process, leaving PPP in the lurch and in no mans land. Infect Shah Mehmood Quershi responding to their request by asking them to support PTI candidate and not to boycott the Elections. Definitely Imran Khan has emerged as an Opposition leader, shifting lime light from PPP to PTI.

Now question arises what made PPP to boycott the Elections, make them controversial if we look at the candidate "Mamnoon Hussain' a very humble and down to earth guy with a political history of standing against a Dictator, belonging to a middle class family, an IBA graduate, after decades when a Middle Class self made guy equally respected by all political parties enjoying a very good reputation in Media, above all a Sindhi and Urdu Speaking about to make it to Presidency, why make him controversial ??.

PPP's animosity against the Supreme Court of Pakistan not hidden from anyone, PPP think they were dealt harshly and heavy handed by the Honorable Courts but Courts think otherwise that that they are doing their job according to the Constitution. Latest decision where Supreme Court allows Presidential Election Date to moved back irked PPP, they think their plea not listened, they are not given enough time to canvass for the Elections but final results of the Presidential Elections clearly show PMLN candidate won overwhelmingly, it wouldn't have made any difference to his final tally of votes. So why this bitterness and displeasure shown by PPP??.

PPP going through their historic low due to their own deeds and faults, Imran Khan contrary to popular belief has become a threat to PPP existence as shown by last GE, PMLN retained and able to get all the Muslim League and most of the right wing vote, while Imran Khan dented PPP vote bank in addition to his youth vote, so PPP needs to up the anti, had to prove themselves the real opposition, get Media attention which clearly tilting towards PTI as an opposition party. PPP miscalculating that MQM and PMLN are poles apart, never meant for each other, but PMLN swallowing the bitter pill to legitimize Presidential Election because with MQM and PPP boycotting the Elections, PMLN wouldn't be able to legitimize the Presidential Election as main stream parties from Sindh boycotted the Polls, so at the end of the day it seems a marriage of convenience where both parties taking something home. PPP were too scared that they might get exposed in the Senate and Sindh Assembly, reports already in press that strong group's inside PPP ranks revolting against PPP decision makers ( Asif Ali Zardari ). Finally PPP thought that it's the right time to launch a full scale assault against Supreme Court as since new Government has taken over particularly Interior Ministry ( FIA ) under Ch Nisar has expedited the pending corruption cases against PPP big wigs. Two former Prime Minister's about to be arrested any time in billions of rupees corruption charges, many other former Federal Ministers and PPP cronies under the FIA radar. Most importantly as President Asif Ali Zardari about to leave the Presidency with it that Constitutional immunity gone as well, the old witch of Swiss Cases about to haunt PPP again. This Presidential Boycott was a mere smokescreen to launch an assault on Courts, making them controversial, terming them Pro PMLN so decisions against PPP become controversial. ( We already have seen, the Supreme Court has started tightening screws on this Government as well, as Aviation Minister made to resign on Dual Nationality, Chairman PIA also made to resign as was appointed violating earlier Supreme court judgement).

                                                                     Jiyala's protesting (1970's)

So PPP makes a grave mistake, maybe a final nail in their great political struggle, making decisions in haste, they must remember their historic struggle for Democracy, as BB once boycotted Elections under Zia's Rule she ruined that decisions years to come. Similarly PPP took part in the 2007 Presidential Elections despite all the reservations of theirs. As Democratic forces thrive upon Democratic norms and process, we have seen that during the Presidential Elections PPP is going to back burners, PTI candidate Justice Waji u Din taking all the Lime Light. PPP from now on must take each and every step very carefully and wisely because time is running out for them, there is no Zulifiqar Ali Bhatto and Benazir Bhatto to bank on.

NOTE  Democracy always thrived and remained un-harmed under the Presidency of Ch Fazal Allahi, the likes of Rafique Tarar, But always remained controversial when occupied by Dictators Gen Zia, Gen Yahya Khan or Democratically Elected but Powerful Presidents like Ghulam Ishaq Khan, Farooq Leghari, Asif Zardari.

Helping Terrorists | A Rs.10 Guide

Helping Terrorists | A Rs 10 Guide

Written by Hadeed Ahmed Sher

So if your bomb isn't lethal enough, and the weight to kill ratio of your indigenous bomb is low then here are Pakistani media standing right beside you to help you out. No wonder how pathetic is your design, even if you use the techniques used in fireworks, we bet our guidance will boost the lethality of your thussss bomb.. All you need is to continuously tune in and watch the Pakistani EXPERT media right after a bomb blast. Alternatively you can read newspapers where the explosives experts of police, in trying to get coverage in national media, explain in detail all the investigation process. However, there is a third way, Yes! You can purchase this Rs 10 guide which has all the solutions to your illness. Kill innocent people with the small but effective bomb. So here we go.

We know that before the start of the Afghan War, the knowledge of how making effective time exploding devices was almost at zero level. It was the "blessing" of Gen. Mushraaf who introduced the astable private media channels. The main income source of these media channels is based on suspense and in winning the rat race of "Breaking News". In trying to do so, they blatantly spread information on how agencies investigate and what caused the damage so high. This leakage of investigation methods is a direct help to the terrorists and banned outfits in the countryInterestingly our media gurus feign to be omniscient but fail to recognize this important aspect. These organizations may not have a central unit for Technology Transfer but our media is efficiently working for their cause by spreading all the necessary information via live footages and interviews.

Before the advent of private electronic media in Pakistan , ball bearing was used only in the shops of lathe machines and in the maintenance of machines. It happened one day that people were told that if these ball bearings are used in a bomb it can devastatingly increase the casualties. The stupidity of media not stopped here but continued as they informed us further that the size of ball bearings matter and when the bomb explodes they burst with the supersonic speed and goes into the eyes, ears, nose and can cause the death of a person. So this tip was effectively used  by the terrorists and caused a lot of damage.

It is also worth explaining here in this Rs10 guide that the use of iron nails can further enhance the capabilities of a bomb. I mean what the hell is wrong with this media... Why on earth we as a NATION or they as an AGENT wants to propagate the techniques or composition of a lethal BOMB. Damn it !! Tell us the information where the heck they are from, LOUD AND CLEAR in a MANLY way doesn't like that they are from a "Banned OUTFIT". This nation is more INTERESTED in getting to know who is their real enemy and media should name the enemy without trepidation. They want to hear the death tolls and about the damage state has incurred with these attacks. NOT WHY THE DEMAGE IS HIGH....

During the time Gen Mushrraf was crushing the State of PAKISTAN under his heavy boots, he was targeted in a planted bomb attack in Jhanda Cheechi Bridge Rawalpindi. The investigative method was kept secret, until those who were involved in that attack were arrested. Months later, when the dictator of Pakistan revealed his book entitled "In the Line of FIRE" aka "سب سے پہلے پاکستان " the investigation procedure was narrated in that book. At first sight it seems to be an impressive effort in reaching to the mastermind of that attack, but if we stop here and think of a while the question is HOW MANY ADDITIONAL COPIES OF THE BOOK WERE SOLD DUE TO THIS SAGA OF THRILL AND ADVENTURE. Perhaps a few dozen or maybe a few hundred. But the impact was shocking. That package was of vital importance for the extremists and years later it was seen that the terrorists involved in an attack on SRILANKAN cricket team used not only different SIMs but also different Mobile sets to avoid detection by the security agencies. The same day again to win the race of breaking news our media told the whole world that the cricketers were brought in a helicopter and showed the helicopter flying. It was a miracle that the terrorist does not have the RPG else they could have used that to shoot down the copter..

The nonsense media continued their stupidity during the rescue operation carried out by Balochistan Police and Frontier Constabulary (FC) after the terrorists took charge of the Bolan Medical college. The media teams of various TV channels showed the sniper positions of the forces. But in order to tell the people that how daring and careful they are, they announced that the footage of live ACTION is not live but delayed. I WISH I could tell these idiots that even then you cannot show the positions of the security forces.

So guys if your bomb isn't lethal enough, and the weight to kill ratio of your indigenous bomb is low then here are Pakistani media standing right beside you to help you out. I am sure that you too are discombobulated with the devious behavior of media on matters of national interest. Instead of spreading ribald stories media should address the situation more maturely else they will soon find themselves bereft of people's support. Media as a stop one solution must repress their boundless high spirits of "breaking news" especially in case of a suicidal attack or a law and order situation.

Power Crisis: Nawaz Sharif Making The Right Moves

Power Crisis: Nawaz Sharif Making The Right Moves

Pakistan is going through the worst nightmare in its recent history in the shape of Power crisis, bringing the economic cycle to near stand still, wiping of Small and medium industry, making investors to shift their businesses to other countries, inflicting a loss of 1-2% of GDP to Economy every year. The irony is that this chaos was brought about by previous rulers, Mush and Zardari Regimes", corrupting the whole system from top to bottom, literally throwing the whole Nation into Dark ages. PMLN won the May 11 GE on the slogan that they have delivered in Punjab, were able to run a corruption free Government compared to other Provinces, their campaign was based on one Slogan that they are the one who can be trusted in solving this menace of energy crisis. Shehbaz Sharif in his speeches across Punjab convinced the people that he and his party can solve this crisis and tackle the bull head on.

We have seen in last two months or so of PMLN Government that whole focus has been shifted to solving energy crisis as promised in their campaign. Ishaq Dar promised to pay the circular debt to the tune of 506 billion rupees in 60 days. This must be mentioned here this circular debt monster was created by previous regimes, as they were not able to solve this issue until many IPPs threatened to invoke the sovereign guarantees, taking the Federal Government to the courts. One must appreciate and laud this historic achievement of PMLN that within the promised time frame they paid the money to different power companies both Public Sector and Private, as previous regimes failed for years to achieve the same feat. Many ignorants are blaming the Government that even after paying hundreds of billion there is still Load Shedding, they have no idea paying the debt is the National duty of the Government as these IPPs had stopped new investments for years, showing their reluctance to invest in a corrupt system, secondly invoking Sovereign Guarantees brings bad name to the country as International Investor confidence shakes  the Economy. Finally there was a false myth regarding the Installed Capacity of the country, many so called experts coming on Talk Shows claimed that it was close to 22,000 Megawatts, ( Many old and ailing plants running on 20-30% capacity, few were installed 50s, others in the 60s) while the stats shows it is hovering around 16,500 Megawatts which will be fully operational next month when Mangla runs to its full capacity. Right now the total electricity in the system is 15,400 Megawatts, on average 14,700 Megawatts to be precise. So paying circular debt has already shown rich dividends as compared to previous years, July this year, on average we were producing close to 12,400 Megawatts of electricity. Let's be fair to the Government the Load Shedding has been brought down considerably, from 12-18 hours on average to 8-10 hours which in itself is a big achievement.

But we  are still witnessing daily processions in different cities against Load Shedding, now the Question has arisen if the Government has been able to bring down Load Shedding to a bearable level, why these protests??. These protests are mainly due to two reasons. 1) The old and ailing WAPDA Infrastructure. 2) The areas where electricity theft is maximum.

Unfortunately Pakistan has faced worst possible Governments in the last decade or so. First it was dictator Mushraf who wasted billions and billions of Dollars and failed miserably to develop infrastructure and energy projects despite being the darling of the West,  getting billions of Dollars in Aid,  lack of vision, poor Governance and corruption costed Pakistan dearly, focus on consumer based economy, following a  Western model  but Mush Regime forgot the very fact that they are the developed countries!. Then he handed over the government to the NRO ridden Regime, which was marked as Economic Disaster , new records of loot and plunder were established, bankrupting the economy. During this Chaos the infrastructure of WAPDA was neglected, same old equipment which was past its life years ago was not replaced, Even historic floods during that era which literally destroyed the WAPDA infrastructure couldn't be replaced in many areas, above all terrorism, especially in KPK and Baluchistan costed billions of rupees to WAPDA, but alas no repair and maintenance was carried out, no new infrastructure was laid to cater the growing energy demand, corruption and nepotism hurried the collapse of whole system in energy sector. Now let me drop the real Bomb Shell, mismanagement and corruption has literally brought down the WAPDA infrastructure, it wouldn't be able to carry electricity to the consumers even if the Government starts producing the required demand tomorrow, according to recent stats maximum 16,000 Megawatts of electricity can be transmitted through this system, which in itself  is associated with false trippings, fluctuations and  in many places results in system break down.

Line Losses to the tune of 25-28% are costing the National exchequer 220 billion rupees a year, 90 billion of which goes in theft, PESCO, HESCO are setting new records in theft with 39% and 37%  respectively. Federal Government has already evolved a comprehensive strategy to deal with these "Chors" with iron hands. Largest ever campaign against these "chores"  is in full swing, particularly Punjab with Shehbaz Sharif leading the way, data have shown that in one month of drive close to 300 million cubic feet of Gas, 86 Megawatts of electricity have been saved, hundreds of FIRs and   arrests have been carried out. Now Question arises, Punjab where  recovery is highest in the country, theft to such an extent was occurring, one can easily imagine the scenario in KPK,Sindh and Baluchistan where line losses are touching new highs. "I think CMs of other Provinces should come forward, lead this drive against theft and corruption to its ultimate end".

Comprehensive Energy Paper presented in Council Of Common Interest has suggested punishments and fines against these "chores". The most important part of that Energy Paper is to reduce Electricity prices in next three to four years, ( By shifting the energy mix to Coal, Hydro, Solar, Nuclear, Bio Energy, Baggass, Wind etc.)  as for now a single unit of electricity is  costing the Government of Pakistan close to 16 rupees. ( 12 rupees Generation cost, 2 rupee administration cost, 2 rupees in Line Losses). Similarly rationalizing the tariff while protecting the life poor consumers (200 units a month) which are close to 85% of total, gradual closure of CNG stations, ( estimated 300 million cubic feet is stolen yearly), rationalizing gas prices of Fertilizer sector ( 4500 rupees per DAP bag), complete overhaul of the system with merit based appointments, eliminating corrupt mafia from the system are the few highlights and promises made in the energy policy of PMLN . A stumbling block between Federal and Provisional Governments may arise as the Federal Government is planning to deduct electricity price from the NFC award of the  respective province.

As  explained earlier the corruption and nepotism has brought the whole energy system down, it needs sincere, honest and continuous effort to get us out of this mess, this corrupt racket is deep rooted,  mafia protect each others interest from top to bottom. The commitment shown by this Government in the first two months is commendable and must be lauded   but it needs a sustained effort. Mian  Nawaz Sharif is taking a strict action against the Media reports of a scam in revised estimates of Nandi Pur Power Projects. It Seems Shehbaz Sharif  is playing a key rule , present in almost every energy meeting, negotiating and making key decisions. Having said all this Media must be careful as well, as Television campaign running on a Channel convincing people of Pakistan that shutting down CNG stations, cutting Gas supply to fertilizer sector and rationalizing the tariff may aid hundred of thousands of Megawatt's, which in fact is not the case, all these measures can lead to affordable electricity and importantly wouldn't allow the Jinny of circular debt to rise again but will not increase a single Megawatts of electricity. After paying circular debt, IPPs  are running to their capacity except three IPPs of 300 Megawatt's which are settling their pending issues with the Government of Pakistan.

Finally let me share my personal experience with you guys before finishing my read, "A year back I was notified by WAPDA to install our own transfer in our Hospital  because our consumption of electricity was a cause of distress and annoyance to the locality, causing tripping and regular power break downs. We were served a 600K Demand notice to deposit the amount within 45 days for installation of transformer, as a concerned citizen we obliged and deposited the money, it is over a year, now we have been asked to pay  more as a token of love to install the transformer, all the trippings, fluctuations, breakdowns, concerns of the locality doesn't matter now".
Even lowest ranked employee's in WAPDA have become millionaires What to talk of big fish.

Lastly it would be an historic event in the history of Pakistan, if this government brings Load shedding and terrorism to a manageable limit of 3-4 years' time.

Surprising Pakistan

Surprising Pakistan

First published in CNN Blogs

By Jason Miks (Global Public Square staff)

Many of the countries we were so hopeful about only a couple of years ago are in turmoil. Egypt's stability is precarious. Turkey has been rocked by protests. The BRIC nations are sagging economically. On the other hand, there is one place, once described as the world's most dangerous country, that’s offering up a pleasant surprise: Pakistan. Yes, it's full of Islamic radicals, nuclear weapons, ambitious generals, and corrupt politicians. But things are changing.
Pakistan has just accomplished a first in its history: an elected government completed its five-year term, giving way to a new set of democratically elected leaders. This was never allowed to happen before. Every prior civilian government in Pakistan had been deposed by a military coup. You see, Pakistan's military is the world's seventh largest, and has ruled the country for almost half its existence.
The elections are even more exceptional when you consider the conditions. The Pakistani Taliban had declared war against democracy, targeting three major political parties for elimination. As a result, the campaign period turned out to be the bloodiest in Pakistan's history. At least 80 people were killed and 400 injured in dozens of attacks. Would you go to the polling booth in these conditions? And yet, voter turnout topped 55 percent – nearly the same as the last U.S. presidential election! In part, this is because Pakistan's demographics are vibrant. A third of the electorate is under the age of 30. These are voters who are not burdened by the memories and missteps of the past. Instead they're optimistic and forward-looking about their country.
Pakistan's economy remains in critical condition. Foreign investment is drying up, deficits crippling its government. But the new prime minister, Nawaz Sharif, has announced a series of measures to run state-owned companies more efficiently, to get the country's fiscal house in order, and to open up the economy. Most tantalizing is the prospect of better economic relations with India, which Sharif has been hinting at. Pakistan would get a huge boost if the government would remove barriers and burdens that are a product of old animosities rather than any sensible economic thinking.
Meanwhile, Al Jazeera this week leaked an astounding report on Pakistan. The Supreme Court investigated how on earth Osama bin Laden managed to live there for so long, undetected. The report reveals a completely inept police and military. And, it hints that certain elements within the Pakistani establishment may have known about bin Laden. It said: “connivance, collaboration, and cooperation… cannot be entirely discounted.”
The message should be clear. Pakistan's main enemies are not the ones its military would have you believe: India, Afghanistan, or the United States. The real enemies lie within: extremism, military dictatorship, weak institutions, and corruption. Islamabad now has a mandate – and the time – to fight those enemies. Pakistan is still a dangerous country, but for once there are hopeful signs from there as well.

Swerving the trial of Musharraf

Swerving the trial of Musharraf

So after all a nation which is suffering from short term memory loss has decided to trial former dictator and military ruler General Musharraf for high treason. Forgetting how a dictator sabotaged the integrity of Pakistan, how he sold Pakistanis for BOUNTIES of US dollars  #Dilemma continues when people talk about his "golden era" for blessing this communication starving nation with "CHEAP" late night packages. Such pseudo intellectuals never tried to pay heed to the situation of those who were victimized during his nine years of tyranny. Without debating the issues of the economy and so called stability one thing must be kept in mind that nations prevails on JUSTICE not on the mobile packages.

It was 1999 when based on the rhetoric of the plane hijacking case, the constitutional government of Pakistan was crushed under the heavy boots of the army upon the orders of dismissed general Musharraf. On that very awful night the DEAR COUNTRYMEN were advised to stay calm and to support the armed forces in reinstating the law and peace in the country. Later on following the natural jungle law of might is right, the elected Prime Minister was sent to an unknown place along with his family members and close aides. The military coup by Gen. Musharraf was warmly welcomed by all the opposition parties. Although, this gracious welcome can not be considered as the right of way for the General, yet the clangor of this act still accompanies the majority of then opposition parties. Soon after the coup in order to gain “moral” grounds Gen Musharraf met the majority of the leaders of opposition parties, some of which are now a days frenzied after the military coup in Egypt.

This onslaught on the constitution of Pakistan was then given constitutional indemnity through a well fabricated and engineered National Assembly. But the question was, how long people can live in a suffocated environment, after all Gen Musharraf was not a clout. He was a military dictator whose presence as sitting army chief as well as the president of Pakistan was a sheer embarrassment to this nation. During the time he was ruling Pakistan, the nation first heard of the Missing Persons . It was later revealed that the missing persons are detained in the custody of security forces without following the due legal procedures. After the petitions of the missing persons as well as the judicial activism in the other areas, it was evident that the choleric General will not temper it for a long time. And then he decided to impose emergency plus in the country. On his orders the CJP was house arrested with 60 other judges of the higher judiciary. After all what else is more COMESTIBLE than the constitution of Pakistan.

This violent attack on the judiciary was so shocking that it acted as a cistern of anti Mushraf movement. The democratic forces of the country put hands in hands with the bar associations and councils of the country and a massive movement was erupted on the streets across the country. The pressure within the army ranks forced Gen Mushraff to hand over the commanding stick to Gen Ashfaq Parvaiz Kiani. It was clearly seen that Gen. Musharraf cannot bear the pressure anymore and will step down as the President. On May 12, 2007 amidst movement to restore the judiciary, riots erupted in the financial capital of Pakistan, Karachi. During those riots dozens of vehicles were burnt, hundred of people were wounded, killed and arrested most of them were political workers of opposition parties. The same night the self conceited person sitting in the presidency called it a SHOW OF PEOPLE’s POWER. Later on during the election campaign the chairperson of Pakistan People’s Party was killed in a bomb blast in Rawalpindi. After the elections 2008, Gen Mushrraf resigned and left the country.

During his stay in London, he formed a new political party and named it All Pakistan Muslim League and announced that he will return to Pakistan before general elections. However, he was nominated in several high profile cases including the gruesome assassination of Former Governor and CM Balauchistan Nawab Akbar Bughti. He was disqualified for the elections and later on house arrested for legal cases filed against him.

On 24th of June 2013, the newly elected Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif announced in the National Assembly that Musharraf will be tried under article 6 of the constitution of Pakistan for violating and abrogating the constitution twice. This policy statement was widely hailed by the democratic forces present inside and outside the National Assembly.

The point that Pakistan as a country has been under military rule for most of its life and that military dictators were never punished nor they felt any regret for the coercion of the “bloody” civilians is indeed shocking. These military rulers as well as their institution never commiserate on imposing martial law , in fact they always defended their occupied rule in Pakistan and portrayed it as a fascinating lifetime for Pakistanis. The order of first governor general of Pakistan to invade the forces in Junagarh and Hyderabad Deccan was disobeyed. We lost Kashmir, we sold our rivers to the Indians, we faced a humiliating defeat in the East Pakistan. The fiasco of operation Nusrat, Gibraltar and then the operation grand slam were enough to show their incompetency within their own field. The skilled army generals who consider themselves as the best administrators and the best to safeguard the interests of the country also portrayed their levity during the misadventure of Kargil war. This is the time that those who want to destabilize the democratic process of Pakistan must be tried for high treason. We as a nation should welcome this decision of trying former military ruler Musharraf under article 6 as this will certainly be the end of the compunction of Pakistani nation as a non democratic force.
